Trade Surplus Hits Record in October

China's trade surplus hit a new record in October of 27.05 billion U.S. dollars. China's October imports grew 25.5 percent to 80.7 billion U.S. dollars, while exports increased 22.3 percent to 107.7 billion dollars. The trade surplus with the U.S. was 15.4 billion U.S. dollars in October, while a 13.9 billion U.S. dollar surplus occurred with Europe. Total January through October 2007 trade surplus reached 212.4 billion U.S. dollars, a 59 percent year-on-year increase.
