Beijing to hold Sino-US economic dialogues in Dec

In a press conference, Liu Jianchao, the spokesman, Foreign Ministry announced that the 18th session of China-US Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT) and the Third Sino-US strategic economic dialogue will be held in December 2007 in Beijing.

Liu Jianchao said that both the event will represent as an important platform for a better understanding between China and the United States to promote healthy development of Sino-US economic and trade relations.

Sino-US strategic economic dialogue will focus on enhancing economic relations, strategies for long-term and other issues will also be discussed here. The Sino-US JCCT will act as key bilateral economic cooperation mechanism to elevate the economic and trade cooperation.

Wu Yi the Vice Premier of the country will chair both the two meetings. China is willing to make efforts along with US to achieve the success of the two meetings, and promote Sino-US economic and trade relations forward.
