In August, China's textile and apparel exports posted 19.09 percent year-on-year growth, reaching a new all-time record of 18.09 billion U.S. dollars, which was up sharply from year-ago levels. Textiles accounted for 5.429 billion of this total and apparel the balance. September 2006 through August 2007 cumulative textile and apparel exports reached a record 161.623 billion U.S. dollars, reflecting 21.43 year-on-year growth.
