The very popular 40s-count combed cotton yarn has an average price of 23,660 yuan per ton, which reflects a 35-yuan per ton increase over the past seven days. Open-end carded 10s-count cotton yarns have an average price of 12,720 yuan per ton, reflecting a 20-yuan per ton increase. Cotton poly-blend 45s-count yarns have an average price of 18,405 yuan per ton, which is unchanged.

Given the price level of cotton fiber, these yarn prices continue to provide poor spinning profit margins despite the nominal increases.
