Sino-US Economic Talks Indicate Better Bonding

Recently, Hu Jintao, the Special Representative of Chinese President, Wu Yi Vice-Premier and Paulsen, Minister of Finance and special representative of US Senate, held the third Sino-US strategic economic dialogue in Beijing.
The Treasury Minister Paulsen said that with the strategic economic dialogue mechanism, Sino-US relations will smoothly move forward to overcome any obstacle. Both sides dealt with most sensitive and difficult issues.
The US representative emphasized on long-term futuristic economic relations, which needs strategic planning.
Sino-US strategic economic dialogue was initiated in September 2006 and since then held twice a year, alternately in the two capitals. The first dialogue was held in December 2006 in Beijing.
The talks between Paulsen and Wu Yi also involved issues like environmental protection, energy efficiency, food safety, product safety, investment, balanced development, exchange rate and other fields.
