US cotton trouser imports from China surged in the past 30 days, resulting in a sharp increase in quota fill rate in category 347/348 now exceeding 50% before the end of the first half. Similar increases were observed in other sensitive categories. Such a rise may be due to seasonal shipments, however, and quota prices did not really increase in China, in the meantime.
